Ravensbourne is partnering with pioneering filmmaker, storyteller and entrepreneur, Lance Weiler, to bring his highly acclaimed Learn Do Share event to the UK for the first time ever. Learn Do Share LONDON is a free two-day event to be held at Ravensbourne on 5th and 6th September 2014. It will bring together filmmakers, writers and entrepreneurs with games, apps and product developers to discuss the power of combining storytelling with technology to develop new products and services.

Carrie Wootten, Ravensbourne’s head of commercial development commented:

Ravensbourne is constantly striving to champion creativity and innovation. We are thrilled to be working with Lance Weiler to bring the Learn Do Share model to London and develop an event that pushes the boundaries of storytelling, design and technology.”

The event combines inspirational keynote speeches from Lance Weiler, Chris Sizemore (BBC), Francesca Paneta (The Guardian), Paula Zuccotti and Michael Webster (the Overworld) and Paul Sternberg (Ravensbourne) with practical, hands-on workshops, where attendees will have the chance to experiment, collaborate and create.

Lance Weiler, co-founder of Reboot Stories said:

We’re looking forward to bringing Learn Do Share to London for the first time and partnering with Ravensbourne. This event provides a unique opportunity to explore how collaborative design and co-entrepreneurship can help to fuel innovation and shape urban environments.”

The event has been co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund, which supports the growth of London-based creative and digital businesses through Ravensbourne’s Digital Media Innovation Consultancy project. Registration for the event is now open.
